DAY 17 THURS JUNE 29 GYFION AGAIN!, GREECE

A NOD TO MY FRIENDS GATHERING IN CHI TOWN...

The 2017 Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games will be held June 30 - July 8 in Chicago, Illinois. Approximately 265 seriously
wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans will participate in the competition. The wounded warrior athletes will represent
the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard, Air Force and Special Operations Command. The United Kingdom and
Australia have confirmed they will send teams to compete at the Games.
The Warrior Games were established in 2010 as a way to enhance the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded warriors and to expose
them to adaptive sports. This is the third time the DoD will lead the operational planning and coordination of the event, and 2017 marks
the first year the Warrior Games will be held entirely outside a military installation or a U.S. Olympic Committee facility.

The U.S. Navy, in partnership with the City of Chicago, will host this year's event. Competition will take place at several prominent
locations across Chicago, including McCormick Place, the United Center and Soldier Field, June 30 – July 8.
AND SEVERAL OF OUR FAVS AND BUDS WILL ATTEND...while  Bubs and Boca were bummed that they could not attend, we cheer all our Veterans and Activity Duty on and on!

You go Del (above left and below right)!  We had the opportunity to meet him, Israel Del Toro Jr/AF, at the Invictus Games/Orlando/2016.  He spoke at President Bush's symposium about the INVISIBLE WOUNDS OF WAR.  Del is one extraordinary guy and loved by many as he continues to serve his country in oh so many ways.  Good luck competing at the Games Del!

SEA DAY

Bubba and Boca took a sea day today...needed.

Pleep always helps the Bartender, Victoria, do the afternoon set up at The Observation lounge.  But today was his special day as she presented him with an esteemed award.

The ENCORE  Patron Award!  That's my boy, champion Tequila Drinker on the Encore.

Not wanting to be mobbed for his autograph, he decides to don some shades, so he is unnoticeable.

Now ready for the bridge tour-

Wow, loads of technology up here....

And yet still paper maps. protractors and triangles?

2 Officers in the Bridge at all times....redundancy is the mantra up here.

Oh my, you mean they can see Boca in her pj's when  hanging on the balcony??  Afraid so.

Pleep was ready for a cup of Joe and tried to talk his Pop into buying one of these Juro's when they get back to Naples....a must have machine for his espresso's and capuchino's.  Start saving your shekels Pleep.

What is that window in the floor dear 1st Mate aka Ast Captain?  Yes, the whole lot of them on the bridge wear gym shoes?  I must be getting old...

Go ahead Mrs. Boca, step on it, we've just replaced the last window- it doesn't break often.

Pleep stop messing with the buttons!

And now I see why they designed the boat with the second hot tub and sun bathing space up front...

Yes 1st Mate, I am a winner.

Pleep can you read! No includes you.

Bubs makes sure the purser is not allowing Pleep to charge it up in the Casino.  She assures him that Pleep has been a very fine gentle monkey and keeping within his spending limit.

Ari, our Food and Bev Mgr makes sure they have a table in Kellers for Boca.

Hi Mrs. Boca, glad to have you for dinner in Thomas Keller...YET AGAIN.  I guess that one visit per week rule must apply to the other cruisers.  Well Duh?  Yup.  We so so enjoy your fantastic menu!

But first a libation with our favorite songstress, Suzanne.  Bubs enjoyed her black leather outfit as Boca asked "where's your whip and chair?"  Meow Meow.

And we did head down for the entertainment post chow....no wonder the talent and shows are so good....

Seabourn is pleased to announce an exclusive partnership with Sir Tim Rice, the acclaimed English musical theatre lyricist of Broadway, West End and film, winner of three Oscars, three Tonys, three Golden Globes and several Grammys. In addition, we are pleased to present his successful production, “An Evening with Tim Rice,” is now playing on all Seabourn ships.
The show, in association with Belinda King Creative Productions and directed by Belinda King, first debuted in January 2017 on the inaugural voyage of Seabourn Encore and is now part of the evening entertainment repertoire on board Seabourn OdysseySeabourn Sojournand Seabourn Quest. It will also debut on Seabourn Ovation in 2018 when the ship is launched.
PLEEPS FAV
“An Evening with Tim Rice” is a concert-style presentation narrated via video by Rice to highlight some of his most loved work – from Jesus Christ Superstar to Aladdin and The Lion King. The show also includes a number from Chess called “One Night in Bangkok,” and a broad “Circle of Life” finale.

PLEEPS OTHER FAV
The production is enhanced through anecdotes and visuals from Rice’s personal archive, and audiences will learn how each song came to life.  It was a really cool show and as previously mentioned the talent is terrific.

And Bubs fav...

AND BOCA'S PERSONAL FAV...
